Anxiety and Worry
Have you been struggling with:
Constantly worrying, fearing the worst, and trying to get ahead of anything that could go wrong
Feelings of anxiety that just won’t calm or go away
Always needing to know what’s going to happen, what to expect, or how to do something right
Feeling so keyed up or on edge that it’s hard to relax or hard to sleep
Difficulty concentrating or thinking clearly because you’re always preoccupied by worry and anxiety

There are well-established and effective treatments for anxiety, excessive worry and similar issues.
It can be easier. We can help.
There are several different forms anxiety disorders can take, but what they all have in common are frequent periods of worry we can’t control and physical symptoms like racing heart, jitteriness, or muscle tension. Sometimes these things only happen in certain situations – like meeting new people or having to give a presentation – and other times we find ourselves constantly worrying about everyday things that other people find easy to shrug off.
These worries can take up all your mental space, keeping you focus on an unrelenting stream of “what if’s” and worst-case scenarios. Maybe you spend a lot of time making contingency plans, trying to get ahead of possible disaster. Maybe you are always checking in on those around you, wanting to know they’re okay or that they aren’t upset with you. Or maybe there’s just a constant feeling that something is about to go wrong that keeps you feeling tense and edgy.
Whatever anxiety looks like for you, it likely preoccupies your thoughts and undermines your self-confidence. It makes it hard to concentrate, to make decisions, and to enjoy the moment. It might be disrupting your sleep, your work or school, and your relationships. It makes your world feel smaller and more dangerous than it really is.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Together we can work to identify and understand the root causes of your anxiety. We can reframe the negative thinking patterns that promote anxiety and develop effective coping skills for when anxiety-provoking situations pop up in the future. We can begin to open your world back up, rebuild your confidence, and help you regain a sense of mental ease.
