You can enjoy the positives of your unique brain instead of getting overwhelmed by the negatives. There are a number of effective approaches to managing the symptoms of ADHD.
We can help.

ADHD, or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects attention, impulse control, and activity levels. When we hear ADHD, many people envision a child who has trouble managing in the classroom, but ADHD can impact people of all ages and causes difficulties in all areas of life. ADHD can impact your life in small ways (like constantly misplacing your phone or being late paying your bills) and big ways (like failing out of classes, poor performance at work, or struggling to maintain romantic relationships).

ADHD isn’t all bad news, though. When properly understood and managed, ADHD has lots of positives like high creativity, quick-thinking, and passionate engagement.

Our approach to ADHD includes both coaching and therapy, integrating elements of cognitive-behavioural therapy, psychoeducation, and behavioural intervention. We cover all the bases from organization and motivation to managing difficult emotions and problematic thinking patterns. Treatment is tailored to meet your specific needs. Whether you have an ADHD diagnosis or just suspect you may have ADHD, our therapists can help you with skills and strategies to help calm the chaos and optimize functioning.

Our goal is to empower individuals with the self-understanding and tools they need to manage symptoms, improve focus and motivation, and enhance their day-to-day lives.
If you are interested in being formally assessed for ADHD, we can also help here. Our assessment process is thorough and collaborative. We start with a comprehensive review of your unique developmental, social, academic, and work history. Next, we use testing and clinical interviews (e.g., an in-depth discussion over 1-3 sessions) to form a holistic picture of your behavioural patterns and cognitive functioning. This in-depth examination of past and present strengths, challenges, successes, and concerns allows us to ensure the accuracy of your diagnosis.

Despite the fact that ADHD is a hot topic these days, it is still poorly understood by many people. If you struggle with ADHD symptoms, reach out today to get started.
